Internship at Intercultural Resources was begun in 2008 by late Smitu Kothari with the aim of providing hands on experience for students in research on social, political and environmental issues and develop writing skills. The internship was begun also with the aim of linking students with grassroots issues and social movement groups and practically understand the impacts of development on various communities, ethnic groups. Hundreds of students both from India and overseas have successfully completed various forms of internships at Intercultural Resources.

The process began by Smitu is still continuing at ICR and several internship opportunities are available for hardworking students who are keen to develop their various skills.

During the internship ICR, interns get immense opportunities to work in a professional environment interact with experts and intellectuals and gain knowledge and experience and honing their writing skills. Internship at ICR  is also a way to test your interests and find out if a specific field is something you could see yourself doing full-time.

At ICR Internships are run at regular intervals and the information is put up on the ICR website as well as Internship websites like Internshala and Lets Intern etc. Both paid and unpaid internships  as well as summer and regular internships are available at ICR.
