About Intercultural Resources
Intercultural Resources (ICR) is a center for research, documentation and intervention on social, political, economic, environment, gender, indigenous/tribal, dalit and human rights issues arising from the adverse impacts of development and strives for alternatives to the contemporary development paradigm.
ICR is of the view that dialogue can sustain plurality and open possibilities for recovery of the ground lost on account of inter-cultural alienation, which is manifest in a variety of forms of violence that we encounter every day.
Founded by Smitu Kothari in 2004, ICR is a registered society under the Registrar of Societies vide Registration Act: “The Societies Registration Act, 1860 (Act XXI of 1860), vide Registration number: S-53443 of 2005, Dated 18 August 2005.
ICR is a non-profit organisation that has a democratic governance structure and functions completely independent from any type of government pressure. The organization is also not affiliated to political parties or religious orders and runs independently without any financial intervention from government, political parties or religious organisations.
